I held my first X Factor party yesterday. Friends met wink_martindale and I at the Victoria pub in the afternoon, where we spent a good amount of hours chatting about vajazzles, people who sleep with corgis, trips to Berlin, upcoming karaoke and Nicola Roberts' pending solo career (which I think will be the best one out of all Girls Aloud). Last night, after a few hours spent with friends at Vagabonds (London's premier monthly night dedicated to 80s trad goth/alternative classics), Kevin and I hop on the No.8 bus, heading home. I had no idea how bad things were for America until last night, when I watched this terrifying documentary on BBC2: This World: American Time Bomb. I have my first new year resolution for 2009: pay off my credit card by the end of this month and start a hardcore savings account that I'll never dip into.
